My friend sent me the song fireflies which I promptly disliked due to the excessive amount of techno and autotune ( I think ).
Then when I invited him over to my house he bought another song ( using my money lol ) by the same band, Owl City, called Dental Care. The lyrics are:
I brush my teeth,
and look in the mirror!
And laugh out loud,
as I'm beaming from ear to ear!
After hearing this I wondered how in gods name did this song become so popular? It's like he could sing about the packaging information on a pack of peanuts and people would call it great music.
The lyrics then turn into:
I'd rather pick flowers
! ( WTF? )
Then the lyrics became some inaudible hippy rant, then he went on to talk about his teeth again.
The song fireflies, by the way, is no. 1 on itunes.
In conclusion, I will leave you this, if you think the fireflies problem is not a serious one, think again.
